樹齢300年以上といわれるしだれ桜。昔はこの桜の開花を目安に、苗代に種をまいたことから「種まき桜」と呼ばれている。見頃時期にはライトアップも実施。高台にあるので、桜越しに市街地を眺めることができる。

This weeping cherry blossom is said to be more than 300 years old. It is called “tane-maki zakura” (seed-sowing cherry blossom) because in the past, people planted seeds in the soil in anticipation of the blooming of this cherry tree. The cherry blossom is illuminated during it’s peak viewing period. Since it is located on a hill, visitors can look out at the city beyond the cherry blossom.
