諏訪神社の境内にある樹齢約400年のしだれ桜。江戸時代初期、仙台藩を治めていた伊達政宗公に苗をいただいて植えた桜と伝えられている。

This 400-year-old weeping cherry blossom is located in the precincts of Suwa Shrine. It is said that the cherry tree was planted in the early Edo period, with a seedling given by Masamune Date, who ruled the Sendai Domain.
